Below are the responsibilities of both permanent and part-time employee of Amalgameted Transport and General Workers Union.

Preside over all meetings and is parttime employee. |
| National Vice Chairperson |
Will help the chairperson in carrying out the duties in that office and is parttime. |
| The General Secretary |
Full time employee and shall be Chief Excutive Officer and main spokesperson of the Union. |
| Deputy General Secretay |
Full time employee and shall assist the general secretary in the day-to-day duties. |
| National Treasurer |
Part time employee responsible for proper book keeping |
| Organising and Education Secretary |
Full time employee responsible for recruitment, education and mobilisation of members and organising elections at the branches. |
| Assistant Organising and Education Secretary |
Full time employee who shall help his/ her boss in carrying out the above duties. |
| Trustees |
These shall be three in number, must be members of the Union and shall be responsible for all Union property. |
| Women Representative |
Part time and shall be responsible for all women activities in the Union. |
| Permanent Representative to NOTU |
Shall be elected at the delegates confrence and shall represent the Union at the NOTU central governing council. |
